Ramona

Ramona-Andreia Lucaciu is a Romanian-American mezzo-soprano pursuing her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance at Temple University in Philadelphia, guided by Prof. Dr. Christine Anderson. She graduated from "George Apostu" High School of Arts in Bacau in 1998 and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance, specializing in Bel Canto, from the National University of Music Bucharest in 2003, mentored by Prof. Univ. Maria Slatinaru-Nistor.

Andreia has excelled in notable opera roles, including Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" and Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" at the Opera Studio of the National University of Music Bucharest. As a soloist since 1998, she has captivated audiences worldwide through vocal-symphonic concerts, chamber music concerts, and recitals spanning a wide repertoire from early to contemporary music. She has embarked on captivating tours across China, Europe, and Japan, collaborating with prestigious Austrian artistic private companies.

From 2003, Andreia served as a full-time soloist at the "George Enesco" Bucharest Philharmonic of Romanian Athenaeum and spent over fifteen years as a soloist at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cathedral in Bucharest, recording albums with the Baroque Orchestra of the National University of Music Bucharest.

Andreia has refined her skills through Master-classes with renowned figures like Christian Badea and Viorica Cortez, receiving praise for her exceptional voice, stage presence, and musicality.

Her talent has garnered recognition in numerous competitions, including the "Mihail Jora" National Voice Competition (Bucharest, 2001, 3rd Prize), the "Martian Negrea" National Voice Competition (Ploiesti, 2001, Special Prize), the China International Voice Competition (Beijing, 2002, Special Prize), and the "Sacred Music" International Voice Competition (Rome, 2011, semi-finalist).

Residing in Philadelphia with her husband and two children, Andreia collaborates with "The Opera Project Stockton" in New Jersey and recently enthralled audiences at the Annual Memorial Concert with the Abington Symphony Orchestra and Oratorio Choir. She actively participates in concerts and recitals organized by esteemed Romanian cultural institutions in Philadelphia, New York, and beyond, showcasing and promoting Romania's rich cultural heritage.
